Heading to WGI in a couple of weeks for the first time since the repaving. I won't have much time to test, so I'm looking for performance hints and heads-up on the track surface.

 

I imagine the toe drives very differently without the concrete, and I hear the rumbles at the Bus Stop are even more ugly.

 

Anyone care to share changes to line, car placement, surface, etc? Thanks.

It likes old Hoosiers - not sure about the Toyo's.

 

My fastest time there from 2015 was a 2:19-something...did a 2:16.7 this year.

I haven't been since the new pavement change. But I would bet the line is different in a few places because there are no concrete patches now. First turn that comes to mind especially is the bus stop chicane after the back stretch.
