I just asked the registrar to notify all entrants and workers that the SIC scheduled this weekend at Roebling Road will be postponed to a later date. Once we work out the details for a reschedule date, I will let everyone know.

 

With evacuations be called for and the uncertainty of the path the storm will take, I felt it was best for all to make the decision as early as possible. We have a lot of racers who will be directly touched by this storm and I wanted to be sure they could get ready to batten down the hatches.

 

Hopefully, the storm will make a turn to the east and avoid hitting the coastal areas.

It's the right call, Jim.  Thank you for the early wave off.   Our thoughts and prayers go out to those already impacted elsewhere by Matthew and we hope it steers a path well-clear of all of our friends who live close to the coast.   We'll find another weekend to regroup and have fun.   Stay safe, everyone.

Good call - the weekends of Nov 12 or 19 might be ideal if the track has availability.

I hope Nov 12th weekend doesn't become the new date or it will be a cold winter for me...   I've already bumped our anniversary celebration one week from its natural spot (11/6) for the ARRC.   The second bump would put her over the edge, I'm pretty sure.  I'll see you at the track though.  I'll be the guy living next to my racecar.  : )
