Just because they've lost an arm or a leg doesn't mean Mission Motorsport can't teach veterans how to do high-performance driving.

 

No matter how much fun you have on the street, there's something about being on a track that really gets your adrenaline pumping. But Mission Motorsport's track days are a little different. The coaches there certainly want people to enjoy themselves, but they have a bigger goal in mind.

 

That's because Mission Motorsport is a charity for injured veterans. Their, well, mission is to use motorsports to help injured veterans better integrate back into society. Whether they're relearning how to drive, racing, fixing cars, or even designing liveries, Mission Motorsport believes learning new skills can improve these veterans' lives. Compared to sitting at home, we agree that drifting's definitely a better option.

 

But Mission does a lot more than simply teach its students to drive and let them have fun. Classes are also available to give them job training. There are also apprenticeships and help finding employment in the auto industry available. Now that's pretty cool.
