I need to replace my helmet for the 2017 season.
Anyone has experience with the Stilo's earmuff set-up and what is your opinion.

Phenomenal helmet. Been an Arai fan since I was a motocross racer, and loved my Arai GP6 helmets, but since I switched to the Stilo, I doubt that I would go back. So much nicer audio from the earmuffs vs in-ear earbuds, and never have to remember to bring your earphones. Overall fit is very comfortable. With the two side ports you can do radio and drink, without drilling helmet. Price for the ST4 FN is around $1,900, somewhere between the Arai GP6 PEDM6 and half the price of the Arai GP6 RC.

These helmets are in competition with Stilo.

They've gone all out with their setups and are probably what I intend to get next.

Danny - Did you have high quality Dr. molded earbuds from the likes of Westone or the trackside molded ones (racing radios/Racing Electronics etc)?
I've had both and the Dr molded ear buds from Westone were order of magnitudes better than the ones from the radio guys in both fit, comfort, and noise isolation.
I have a meeting scheduled with Roux next week. I may become a dealer for them. Once I know more I will pass it on. I saw some demo helmets last summer and they "look" really nice.

Have both, but still prefer the over-ear "surround sound" comfort of the Stilo approach. Less ringing in the ears after the race, very comfortable, great sound quality and never have to send your crew guy running from the grid to fetch for your earphones!!!

Does anyone in this group own and uses a Roux helmet? What is your opinion? Tks.
I've had one on order for a month or so and it is due to arrive next week. I'll post up some pics once I have my hands on it and my head in it. I won't be racing again for several months though.

The bit about ringing is interesting, I've been using custom molded plugs with no ringing after sessions even when driving the V8 mustangs and I6 BMWs for a very long time, the key was to ensure that the plug goes deep into the 2nd bend of the canal.
Sadly nothing can help forgetting to put them in before going to grid....

Brian, more than 1,000 track sessions from 2006 - 2016, with a variety of cusom-molded and off-the-shelf earphones of various manufacturers (at least 10+). For my ears, all left me with an ear ringing sensation. Even my in-ear and over-ear BOSE headphones do that to me. Bu the gap-to-ear with the Stilo over-ear sets leave me with way less ear ringing than any of the others. For me that is a plus

Just ordered one. Tried them on at Mid-o. Impressed with what you get for the $$. Great fit and light weight. I guess I just joined the army...

Helmet arrived last night and I'm impressed. The finish is excellent, much nicer than my Bell. The cooling tubing is attached to the inside of the EPS liner, and covered with a felt-type layer. The removable helmet liner is inside of this. The eject system essentially is the entire liner - pulling the lateral loops at the base of the helmet pulls the entire liner out forcing the helmet off you head. It is pre-wired for radio (ear cups) and water in addition to the cooling. Looks like the link above was not working but here is a picture of all that is included (a lot).
It doesn't feel as light and the Stilo's I've held but weights are in the link below

Unfortunately the Large is too small for my head. I wore it around for 10 minutes and got a headache. It doesn't sit low enough for my ears to fit in the cups. Probably have to wait until the next order ships to get an XL.
Alan
Alan, what is the mm measurement of your head? I am going to order a Roux since Stilo doesn't make my big ass head size (63mm) in the composite. Want to make sure they don't run small before I order one. Are they on backorder for the XL?

I am 60 cm which should fit large (59 - 60). XL = 61 - 62
I don't think any of the vendors have them in stock. You put your name on the list for the next shipment they get.
AC
Thank you. I think they have XXL for the 63-64 too. Hopefully they have more come in before January!

I ordered one as well and its due to arrive on Tuesday, I have been trying to do some research on the helmet cooling how is it going to attached to the cool suit system????

It does not come with the female fittings. I plan to put it in series (after the shirt) so I don't get an ice cream headache. Haven't looked into sourcing the fittings and tubing yet but McMaster Carr usually comes to the rescue.
AC
Wow. The CoolX integrated helmet cooling system sounds frickin awesome. A bit more expensive than what I normally spend for a helmet but seems worth the extra cost for the cooling system.
