I think I have something similar from longacre. Works well, the only blind spot I have now is behind my left shoulder.

My cages and many that use a windshield frame bar close to frame itself dont allow the longacre bracket to rotate forward, in some cars mine included it is hard to even get the bracket in place as cage is so tight.. Thats why I fooled with these in the first place.

In fairness.. Ralph at V2 and the Schieffler brothers brought up how much of a PITA the normal cage mount is and how the stock mount location works much better. Ralph has been welding brackets in his cars, I just dealt with it. But have since switched my cars to this mirror. Webb drove my car with mirror in it and really liked it. I have driven it yet, but sitting in the car the difference was incredible. Thanks Ralph and Steve for pointing it out.

Pretty cool. I also had to futz with the brackets on mine to extend it forward like you did. This would be the easy button approach.
Like i said earlier, I think Mirrors are overrated.

Nice! Will be ordering some asap for the new SM we have in the works.
We could use something like that too for the Global MX-5's. I ran with the stock brackets one session last weekend during testing, then out of necessity had my Speedwerks crew fabricate longer brackets to move the mirror forward and down so I could see it without tilting my head. Much better.
Full disclosure: SMAC chairman, my opinions do not reflect anything to do with the SMAC unless specifically stated.

Ok Randy, you using the Dewey rearview brackets or the Drago rear view brackets.
I've had brackets from the get-go, roll eyes right with no eye lift.

Curious what the issue is with each mirror?
