Sounds like your caliper pins may be binding, causing the uneven wear rate

How far down can you run the Hawk blue pads before time to replace? Also I noticed on the front that the outter pad is wearing more than the inner pad on both sides, is that normal?
Thanks
Greg
My wife and other friends will tell you I run my pads down WAY further than i should. Daves advice about the thickness of the backer plate is probably better, but since I consider rotors wear parts, going down TO the backer plate has happened. I do see more wear on one pad, and if i recall it is the outer, I actually rotate the pads if I have time..... to get more life from the set.
What can I say, I am cheap!
Phew...... that was a close one!
