I have a 1994 Miata that I want to adjust the height of the brake pedal on. For the life of me even with a pedal extension, I the heights are not working for me to heel-toe on this car. How are most of you adjusting the height of the pedal? I thought about attempting to bend it, but am hesitant that I'll end up damaging something.

Easy to do once you get down there. Getting 'down there' in a caged miata is really fun. Some DIY's iirc on miata.net.

Modify it how? Bend it down? From what I had read, some people did that and broke the pedal.
Another friend said he had a "platform" made for the brake pedal.

I just built up the surface of the Brake pedal with metal plates, you can use wood but i just used two pedal covers and stacked them for thickness. I put Dave's plate on the gas pedal and its perfect for me.

I had no idea that I could adjust the gas pedal like that. I'll have to give that a try, thank you! I tried bending the gas pedal, but that wasn't working out so well.

Be careful not to stress on the throttle body shaft when at full throttle if playing with the gas pedal adjustment.

Some folks implement an adjustable stop for the accelerator pedal so to not jam/stress the butterfly.
