I recommend everyone come out to this! I am on the race board for this event and our goal going into it was to make this not only the final stop, but the crowning jewel in the Super Tour Schedule. We have secured a large endowment form Sunoco Lubricants to host the party on Saturday night, as well as made an advertising push to get spectators into the stands. We hope to give everyone a show and to make this an event to remember. 

 

If you have any crew that would be interested in volunteering it would be greatly appreciated, especially in the tech shed.

 

And Drago, this could get you that last 1st place that you'd need to tie for the points lead.

I think its a shame this event has been scheduled the weekend after the June Sprints for the last few years.  The Regional is 2 weeks later at WG...that would be a better time for the Major.

What time is the wedding??, you can qualify then take a chopper to Jersey, with all that prize money you win its a drop in the bucket. Forgetaboutit!

welp, that secures 7th place.

I think its a shame this event has been scheduled the weekend after the June Sprints for the last few years.  The Regional is 2 weeks later at WG...that would be a better time for the Major.

 

Unfortunately we're restricted by availability. The Finger Lakes Region and the Glen Region alternate hosting responsibilities for the Majors each year. Since the Glen Region already owns the July date for the foreseeable future we cannot use it. We've tried the 4th of July weekend before, but thats not a big hit, people like to spend time at the lake drinking beer for the 4th. That coupled with the Super Tour scheduling and we find ourselves with the current date each year. It's a cluster, but believe me, we're trying to get a better date every time a new WGI contract comes up.
