Trying to get a good idea of what it costs to re-tub a car. What have people paid in the past? and did you end up with something better than before? How many upgrades did you include with the resurrection....

I use this system when a rental car is totaled.
Normal cost to retub with new hardtop $15k
If hardtop is usable $14k
This figures 2/3 of suspension is reusable, transponder steering wheel, seat reusable.
new seat belts and any upgrades I have made to make the car as close to a current car as possible.
Justified: Car $5000, cage and safety gear $4000, Labor, ~40 hours, $4000, Misc stuff, replacement suspension etc $1000, hardtop $1000
Hope that helps

If you can do the work yourself you can get away much cheaper than this. I re-tubbed my car in 2011 for about $750 in parts if you can re-use the cage as I was able to.

Absolutely Walter, noting to hide here. Working on a better solution and we have not re-tubed a NA/NB car in quite a few years. looking for people that have gone through the process and can help us create a better program with their experience. It will hopefully be something that will make a crummy wrecked SM into a cooler, faster, safer, fun car. Keep watching...
