No MIS this year in the Northern conference. I was expecting we would return there this year. Not that its a favorite track we were on the every other year program for awhile.

Its to bad that we cannot put Pit race in the northern  conference for points, we have had crossover with other tracks in other years. Pit race should be in our conference.

We are going to Nelsons next year with the Region.

Gingerman and Grattan over Pittrace - WTF

If GreatLakes goes back to NL I'm gonna have to make that tow. Any guess on dates?

PS: does anyone maintain GreatLakes website?

Good to see Nelson Ledges still around; I think I last raced there back in 06' or 07'.  It was a fun/ fast track, but in pretty rough shape.  Have they put money into it recently?

I’m still waiting for the day SCCA goes back to NCM. It seems like everyone that drives it loves that track.

There will be two SCCA races at Nelson Ledges next year.  NEOhio is holding a regional the weekend of June 9-10 and Mahoning Valley Region will host a regional September 29-30.  ChumpCar is also running a 24 Hour race at Nelson the weekend of June 30-July 1.

Hope to see lots of people there.

The new owners have made significant improvements to the track, including paving the entire racing surface.   See video below.

Hope to see you there.

Thanks,

Brian

I do not see that happening in the near future. The cincy region lost their butt there,

I am sure they did, but it was also very poor planning on their part holding the race there on the same weekend as the june sprints was not a good move.

they need to hold a race there early in the season, late in the season or make it a majors race.

That track has issues with noise and I have not been there in a while so not sure what they have done to fix the noise issue with the neighbors, that will be crucial to them going forward.

Not only that, but they went to early the paddock and showers were not finished yet. I know that was an issue for some. I have not been to the track but would like to go.

Is it a fun track?  Looks like a glorified autocross looking at the track map.

it is very technical, I enjoyed it lots of elevation changes, some fast sweepers, I have not raced it just done a test day I think it would be a bit hard to pass on, but what the hell so is Mid ohio and we keep going there.

the track is very fun, only one 2nd gear turn. It is a bit tight in some places, but it is well balanced with fast sweepers and some interesting elevation change. It is hard to pass when they run the the bus stop before turn one, but I think it’s easier to pass on than mid Ohio.

I’m pretty Sure the agreement they came to is that they are allowed so many “free” days a year on noise. If WRL gets a pass on noise I’m sure the SCCA could as well.
