I know Ralph at V2 has done quite a few. I believe there is some fabrication involved.

In the past we have used a string pot sensor. made a mounting bracket that went below master cylinder. String was simply hose clamped to steering shaft. As shaft spun, it wrapped the string around the shaft, thus extending the string.
