I heard the Hoosier H2Os were bad, but are these cracks normal? One session on them in October. Since then the car has been in a 50 degree plus heated garage.

I knew that these tires were sensitive to temperatures, but I didn't think it was that sensitive.
Do you know if these cracks make the tires unusable?

Personally I think you will be ok, but I would not listen to anyone on the forum

I guess I made a wrong assumption that the H2Os compound would be better to store the car on (shouldn't rains be soft? In October we were racing in ~40 degree weather). I think from here I'll keep a set of junk SM7s around just for car storage over the MN winter. I'll give Hoosier a call. Just sucks to waste $800 dollars when your on a budget.

I have the original wheels and tires (from 1999!) that my car sits on if it ever comes off jack stands in the offseason. Any tires I plan to use again are in trash bags in the house. I'm sure there are slot of unused donut spares floating around the SM community if you don't have other options.

I have seen tons of tires from many different companies crack like that. I have run cracked tires on much faster and heavier cars with no issues. I would run them on my car.
Any tires that I care about are stored at 68 degrees. Yours are used and old- won't be as fast as they could be- but are safe.
