This would be a reasonable top 3 pick under normal circumstances. But, Lance Bergstein is also in the race. No, I am not saying he will be in the top 3, but I expect him to fully send it in Turn 1 from his P9 starting position and he will wipe out the top 3. This will give a more likely podium to : Nick Leverone, Ralle Rookey, and Dillon Machavern.

Well, Dannys car was pretty solid at the Sprints and he was driving well.. Elivan and Tyler are always very tough, even more so at Watkins.

I am going to say he and Elivan split wins

Carter is a late sign up.....so if Tyler car is not up to speed...Carter will be there on the podium.

So why isn't Tyler up to speed?  I thought he got one of them new fancy Texas motors (where everything is bigger). So how is he slow?  Was the Kessler just too good to be true?

That kid Carter is the real deal - Doesn't show up for test day, first time at the track, and f'n puts it on the pole. Wish I had that kind of talent!!!

Q2 was wet, so times were slow. This track bites in the rain!  I suspect that Mickey wouldn't give Michael rain tires, which accounts for his slow time. Since they shortened the Q2 sessions to 10 minutes to make up time for potential thunderstorms later in the day, most of us went out on sticker H2O's to get the release agent off.

Congrats to Tyler, MIchael and Elivan. Great hard clean racing amongst friends, about as good as it gets.

Also Tech pulled my head apart, measured every single valve, seat, passage and more and happy to say all is good with the motor. Also makes the June Sprints results final, and I see they have added the points

Thanks everyone!  Congrats to everyone who finished on the podium and ran up front (Danny, Michael, Elivan, Nick, Ralle).  The racing was intense and SUPER clean all weekend including a very tricky half wet, half dry race on Sunday.

We continued to sort through potential issues that have been plaguing us since at least Indy last year.  We replaced nearly every component under the hood including MAF, temp sensors, coil packs, injectors and ECU.  In the last session on test day, Elivan any I ran together and I couldn't shake him.  Weather was cool and somewhat comparable Friday morning for practice.  After swapping ECU's with my dad's VVT the night before, the car seemed to wake up running a 2:14.7 with only a push to the bus-stop.  Same tires and no setup changes.  At that point, whether it be the placebo effect or not, it was clear the car was where it needed to be.  It felt competitive and on par with everyone I ran around after that point (certainly not the case up to this point in the season).

Qualifying didn't go as planned essentially heading up the group comprised of myself, Elivan, Danny, Michael and Nick.  I was trying to work with Elivan, but as the lead car I just wasn't able to put the lap down early.  I tried dropping back but it was too late.  P3 was the best I could do.

Here is the last lap battle that Elivan and I had on Saturday almost spoiled by Michael joining in the last few corners of the lap.  Full Sunday video goes live tomorrow.

Thanks - it was a helpless feeling and we tried to make the best of it. The car was some percentage better on Sunday out there, but just had way too much ground to make up.
