Tech was quite lacking compared to the sprints where we pulled heads, I know its not as big of a race but the only mechanical thing we had to do was pump fuel..

You have to remember that National office brings tech staff for Super Tour races vs just local tech staff for non Super Tour. Believe it or not, not every Region has staff qualified to do tear downs on SM. It sounds like they did a normal non Super Tour tech for SM. Milwaukee Region does have staff qualified but they also work for several different pro series and may have been at another race for the Cat weekend. With more than 25 classes to do compliance on, it's tough to take the time necessary to do head removals, etc on a non Super Tour weekend.

Understood, I'm not saying head should always be pulled, but think its giving the wrong look that at a Majors only the restrictor plate is looked at and fuel tested. Gingerman had even less tech..

Tyler, I totally get what your saying. BUT, in all reality today majors races are nothing more than regional races. Not to diminish you WIN.

You could put it that way, but then actual regional races are what?

I don't think it diminishes anything. You have to look at it by who shows up really. There were plenty good guys at Road America for the Cat, and we all raced cleanly and well, and any of those guys are in the top train of the Sprints. Heck, Voytek and Bender have won the Sprints.

Even like Davison said, he won a race at the regional level but it had all the usual majors "national" drivers at it so its something to be proud of!
