Sonoma Advice Regarding SM7

At least locally to me in Michigan, we have tracks where you can be just as fast on 6+ HC tires (or faster) than on stickers or scrubs. We also have tracks where those tires would be a second off pace.
I am making the long trip out to runoffs next month, and it will be my first time at the track. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I am wondering if some of you who know Sonoma well might be willing to offer some insight regarding if the track is very sensitive to age/heat cycles of Hoosier SM7?

I assume you got the email... Hoosier is giving all of us one free set of SM7's.
Need to order soon and they need to be shipped to you, not picked up at the track.

Free tires, cheaper entry fee, and not paying $140 to balance them at the track vendor?
Score Hoosier/SCCA?!?!

Saw that, thanks!

Trading the money saved mounting them at the track for the shipping cost to get them to your home! Doh. Still excited about free tires though
...From the official email press release:
Unlike other years, these tires will not be delivered to the event (California laws…). Instead, you will claim your tires in advance of the event through the standard Hoosier contingency claim process
Oh California, what are we going to do with you? Not sure the nature of this referenced CA law, but does anybody else find it ironic to think about how much extra emissions will be polluted via shipping 49 sets of tires from Indiana to 49 separate destinations, only to then be loaded on trucks and the tires still end up in california... Good job cali, good job. Kind of like my CARB lawnmower jug that spills more fuel each week than my old jug's lifetime evaporative hydrocarbon emissions.
