Spec Miata Race Number 6 (Summit Point)

This was my first time at Summit racing (last time on track was a DE 2 years ago). Definitely a little rusty in spots.
Comments, and harsh criticism of my driving is always welcome (how else will I go any faster). I'd also appreciate some comments on the final contact that took me out of the race.
Thanks in advance.
Duncan

Did you write it up? Did the driver come over and apologize after the race?
I talked to the driver after the race and decided not to write it up. I don't have any hard feelings other than it was a little disappointing to get punted like that. This is my last race for a few months since I'm moving out to Monterey California in June.

I am not the fastest guy out there, so don't quote me on this. I notice that you are entering turns 1 and 5 in 3rd gear. For turn one, I enter it in 2nd, as I think most do. But I could be wrong, for all I know the really fast guys may enter it in 3rd. But T5 is absolutely a second gear turn. You should kiss or hit the rev limiter in 2nd gear before entering T6.

Video from my 6th Spec Miata race. Finished about half of the race, but got hit hard enough in turn six I came in because I wanted to ensure the car wasn't damaged. Post race analysis looks like it's just the wheel, but I think I'll probably replace the bearing at a minimum for peace of mind.

Judging from his profile, his car is a 2008. Perhaps those are different even from a '99 let alone your NA? ;-)
