Looking to get a racing suit. One piece suits I have tried on are too tight in shoulders and crotch. Do you guys wear and like two piece suits?

Most order custom fitted suits..
Gforce offers a really nice inexpensive suit. As nice and light as any I have, half the cost

I bought a cheap suit that was a bit big and had it taken in to fit better. Nice, custom suits weren't in my budget... but a cheap suit, $10 in nomex thread, and $25 of alterations worked just fine.

I thought two piece suits were not permitted in SCCA.

Aren't they pretty much relegated to drag racing?

I too have this problem. Not just for driving suits, but for all articles of clothing ;)

As far as I know a two piece suit is not allowed in club racing. Maybe bench can chime in. He has the GCR memorized.

I’m pretty sure you are mistaken, assuming it meets the appropriate SFI standards. But I’m too lazy to look it up.
Bench?

Dang you guys really are lazy. "Ctrl-F" is your friend.

SCCA "Highly Recommends" one piece but does not seem to require them. NASA require one piece suits.

Victor at VAS is no longer making custom suits. Does anyone have a few names of people who do make custom suits?

Every suit manufacturer will make a custom suit. Well atleast any company I would consider. Look to spend near 2000$ for a very nice unit.

Winding Road Racing has a pretty cheap custom suit available.

Of course it has Winding Road Racing ALL over it.

Different brands fit differently. I can fit Sparco well except for my belly. Alpinstars—forget it. So you need to go to a store and try on different suits. Or call a reputable shop, like OG Racing.
