I purchased a Spec Miata last year that was campaigned in the SCCA 2008-2012ish, but unfortunately the PO had misplaced the logbook.

I have been racing it in a local series at Atlanta Motorsports Park, so that hasn't affected me yet, but I have registered for the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour at Road Atlanta in March.

Is there a raceshop in the Atlanta, GA area that can tech the car and issue a new log book? Any recommendations?

Thanks for any help and suggestions.

the log book number should be stamped on the cage near the inspection holes. with that you should be able to get a book reissued.

Ernie,

There should be several SCCA National Tech inspectors in the Atlanta region that could perform an annual inspection and issue you a new logbook. Somebody in the Atlanta Region SCCA could point you to a tech inspector - http://www.atlantascca.org/

You can also look in the Supplemental regulations for the Super Tour race and contact the chief of tech and schedule a time for an annual inspection and get a new logbook at the track. Obviously, make sure all of your safety gear is up to date.

Email me the numbers stamped in your cage.

Ernie, where do you live in Atlanta?  I'm in Morningside/Lenox Park and can issue a new logbook to replace the old one. I have logbooks in stock. I'm at the Roebling Road drivers school but will be home Sunday PM. Did a new logbook for one of Tom Fowler's guys today.

You can bring me the car or I can try to come to you. No big deal. And I need to do another for a driver in Atlanta who lost his. Might be able to get them both in one trip.

PM me at jcreig53@mindspring.com

Guess Ernie didn't need a logbook after all. No contact. I'm in town for the next week and after that I'll be back traveling to races,
