I see the new SMW is now in the Hoosier Catalog. Anyone own a set yet? Are they just an H2O with a harder compound?

the simple answer is yes, same mold, same size, harder rubber.

Have you raced on it? Will it survive a few weekends, or dare I hope a season?

Be careful what you hope for SRF went to a "longer lasting" wet tire. It was so bad in a few years they changed back to something softer. I think it might be same compound as outgoing SM wet tire. The harder tire had two big problems
1. In combine groups, cars that we were similar to in speed in the dry, we were much much slower in the rain. The speed difference increased crashes
2. The tires had poor grip in the rain. This lead to poor handling and crashes.
3. The perception of 1 and 2 being even more than the reality lead to many setting out races instead of running on rains

I am 1 if the only 2 people who have ever driven or seen the smw. The tire will heat cycle more often other than that like all things race tires stickers will always be faster
Any data from the test available?
