I'd like to participate in NASA Time Trials with my NA8 Spec Miata.  Using the NASA TT car classification calculator and browsing the rules, it appears that my car (probably a very typical Spec Miata) falls into the high end (less competitive end) of the TT5 class.  For those of you who have TT'd their SMs with NASA, is the class you ran in?  I'm really asking for a sanity check.  :)

My car is compliant with the Spec Miata rules and include:

weight:  2400lbs

HP:  124 whp

OEM hardtop

front spoiler

adjustable end links

Toyo RR tires

LSD

Thanks for any feedback and Happy New Year!

SMs are epic overachievers, you’ll be fine! :)

You will be ST6! 18/1 HP/wt...but you can do your sheet to be sure. A true ST6 car will be quicker than a SM legal car in theory...in ST5 you will be blown away! There is a lot of stuff in the rules but in the end you should be fine...remember it is AVERAGE hp...not peak. If not there are a lot of people in my region running the wrong class!
