The official WDYT (What Do You Think) regarding the tire limiting proposal for SpecMiata will be coming out today in the March Fastrack.

Responses are being accepted through March 15th, 2020 and we would like to encourage as many of you as possible to give us feedback either for or against the outlined proposal.

Time to make your voices heard! I have written my letter have you???? No letter equals no changes... Nobody needs to hear your argument on tire brands we already have one contracted. But we can make a change now to stretch our racing budgets further and possibly distribute the tire contingencies further in the field! Crbscca.com get on there and make your voice heard!

How about posting the letters sent for us to review and to adopt should we not have the time or knowledge to craft an original? I'll happily send in a duplicate/similar letter to an approach I find reasonable that I agree with.

You can literally just go to crbscca.com  fill out name and scca numbers boxes as prompted and type

"I support the tire limiting proposal"    You can send that alone or add whatever else you like

I dissented with the tire limiting proposal for a simple yet selfish reason.  I race 3-4 times a year.  I travel $1,000 miles to all but 1 race. My expenses for travel and time off from work far out weigh the cost of a second set of tires.  If I was forced to use that second set of tires for any reason and shove me to the back, it would ruin my weekend.  It happened at Sebring, for other reasons.  Going through the field is not a challenge I enjoy, the chance for a car ending wreck gets pretty high back there.  The cars you have to pass, lets just say we need many more "random" tear downs.

I suggested a better tire solution not a limiting solution.

The Hoosier is a great product for non-budget classes.

The Toyo is a much more operationally budget minded tire for budget racing.
