Chicago Region SCCA is pleased to announce that registration for the 2020 June Sprints will open on Monday, April 13^th at 5 AM central time.

 

Please, please register early if you are thinking about going. The Region does not charge your credit cards until the day of the event, and there is NO penalty for withdrawing up until the start.

 

Road America fully supports the event, and plans to be open for business as usual.

 

Personally, I am looking forward to seeing everyone at America’s National Park of Speed

If the race does happen there is going to be some serious RUST to be shaken off.

Wisconsin is peaking a little earlier than other areas so theoretically June should be in play.  Here is the most public COVID 19 tracking.

Things will be clearer in 2 weeks to know if the data tracks accurately.  Regardless they will have to make significant changes to the race management to be safe.  And then people will have to be wise away from the track (bars, restaurants, hotels).

Looks like everyone is hoping,thinking,praying that we are good to go for June Sprints.... 24 registered already

When WI Covid 19 data is reviewed it shows new cases sort of flat from 4/6 through 4/15, but deaths from 4/2 through 4/14 are 4 times higher than from dates 2/23 trough 4/1. Viewing WI data and CDC data there are holes/unknowns in the data. For example using 4/15 data there are 166 new cases in WI. Holes/unknowns, nothing is said about how many cases were tested to obtain the 166 new cases.
