Hi All,  I have my car totally stripped out to paint the cage.  My issue is that the only real place to do it is in my driveway and it's been windy making masking and spraying very cumbersome.  An instructor I've had suggested rolling the enamel on the cage with a little thinner as opposed to spraying it.  This could be much easier for me to deal with under the circumstances.  Has anyone done it this way and what were the results?  Thanks!

I did that for my first car. Looked ok I guess. Sprayed the cage with the a gun w/ duplicolor I painted the body with on the current car. Hard to get where you need it to be with a brush. Make a make-shift booth in the garage?

Thanks for the tips.  I actually managed to mask it and spray it in the driveway one morning before the wind came up.  It wasn't too bad.  It's not perfect but then neither is any other part of my car!

Next up is the interior which I'm going brush white and then spray over.  I also decided to paint the lower part of the cage white for ease and to brighten up the interior while keeping the top of the cage black so it doesn't create too much glare.
