Hard top repair ?

I have a hard top that where the front bolts go into the hardtop ard loose and one is stripped. I'm just wondering if there is a fix for this or is the top scrap?

Your best bet is to add time zerts and fabricate a new bracket

e. Convertible tops and attaching hardware shall be completely removed. Cars may compete with
the Mazda factory detachable hard top in place (latches shall be replaced with positive fasteners
and rear pin attachment mechanisms must be used or replaced with positive fasteners), but it is
not mandatory. When no top is used, driver shall wear arm restraints, and the cage will meet the
helmet clearance rule. It is allowed to attach the hard top to the upper windshield bar of the roll
cage.

 

If someone has done this could you post pictures?

You just weld a bracket to the cage that mates up to the hard top mounts. That would replace the bracket that most use from the header to the hard top. Usually the cage is in the way making it hard to mount the bracket to the header.
