First time in a long time that yellows have come into play. A few hard hits and one car burned down. Glad everyone was ok.

Congratulations to Chris and Preston on their wins.

Day one was cut short to about 3-4 green flag laps, followed by some yellow, then a black, red and finally checker. A bit like kissing your sister

Day two pretty good race, we got a yellow on lap 14 of 19, We restarted and was likely about to start getting good and we got the final yellow halfway through that lap.

Lots of fun racing with two of the best cars, drivers in the class.. I am calling the weekend a push .. Chris 1,3, Preston 1,3 and me 2,2 Some serious talent there.

That was my last Super tour race of the year.. By far my best season ever on paper.. 10 races.. 4 wins, 6 seconds. No thirds or worse, no DNF's ! It takes a lot of help to do that, my guys Mike and Richard have done a great job all year.

Good runs but some off the new young guns coming up to replace us old guys!! Chuck Mactutus , Broderick Bauguss ( 2019 T3 National Champion) and Brad Perez

My brother watched his first two SM race ever from T5 and was impressed at the breadth of talent and closeness of the competition. Sad that I didn't make the show, and apologies if I cut Q1 short. Had a minor fire after T7 - video and lessons learned to come.

Got back around noon yesterday after stopping for the night.  What an awesome track to drive and race and I'm happy I decided to go.

 

Finally learned to carry speed into 1 which then screwed up my rhythm into 3. Turn 5 I was able to nail the majority of the time but consistency was lacking a bit as well as in turn 7 when the race progressed and traction changed. Turn 6 and 10-12 were an absolute blast and I felt a bit faster than others running with similar lap times in our group so it made for fun racing giving and taking in different sections.

 

Started out first practice session in the low 47's and then by first qualifying was poised to be in the high 44's. Downtime with iRacing seemed to help.

 

Outside of my truck having mechanical issues 30m from the track on Thursday, which carried over until then first gas stop after leaving the track Sunday when the suspected wastegate/turbo issue cleared up, I had a great weekend - well I guess except for the 4 rocks that destroyed my windshield in race 2.

 

I accomplished my goal of being squarely in the fight for the front of the mid-pack.
