I bought an original E-Z Up 10'X10' maybe 15 years ago, for what I recall being about $200, with the rolling case and the side panels I never used.  After 15+ "Wizard Of Oz" wind storm blowaway events, and being upside down in the Cuyahoga River (somehow helpful bystanders got it out of there?), and having a full size charcoal barbecue try to penetrate it during a long tow, and who knows what other tribulations, it has finally died.

In contrast, I bought the $64 version from ALDI some weeks ago, and it tore on the first day.  I've had toilet paper more robust than the ALDI "E-Z Up"

Sooo .... what should I buy now?  I looked at the EZ-Up website, and damned if I can figure out how some of their 10X10s start at $159 and others start at $900.  (Except to say: I assume the one with the BMW badge starts at $15,000 and fails as quickly as the ALDI one?)

What say the SpecMiata.Com commentariat?

Awesome.  I don't mind being a billboard, as long as I'm not a billboard for terrible engineering from the ISIS of the 1940s ....

I can probably weigh one. They come in nice bag that has wheels that make it easy to move around

No biggie Jim. I found an answer on the Summit site Q & A that said 75 lb. That's close enough. Thanks.

I bought a 10x10 at WallyWorld (Walmart) a few years ago for $50. Not the highest quality but it's held-up and provides shade. I take it down if weather threatens.

I use two 10x10 EZ Up Eclipses. The steel one is 70 pounds, but heavier is better for high wind and heavy rain. Found a rain gutter on Amazon that goes between to keep the rain out, it works well.

Was at a craft show a few years ago, while Patty looks at crafts, I look at canopies, noticed a guy, with a new steel Eclipse, asked him how he liked it, he said it was too heavy, so I bought it for $300 cash.

Next question, what color. The white ones are bright underneath, but let some heat through. The dark ones with the silver underside, block the heat, but are dark underneath.

I bought a Quik Shade 10x10 for $100 from one of the local chain hardware stores a couple of years ago.  It works as intended but I left it in my yard without the carrying case thing and the shading material has been taking a beating from the sun.  The sections that were exposed are starting to get brittle and dry.  The frame is great though.

They have a standard, premium, pro, and beyond line. I’ve had a premium for 5 or so years now and it’s held up great. It was caught out in a torrential downpour/microburst one year and collapsed from the weight. Had to replace a couple bent cross members and bent brackets and it was as good as new. Every piece of the canopy can be bought separately for repairs if needed, instead of buying an entire canopy.

I inherited a 10x10 Steel EZ-Up from one of my children's soccer teams. That was 20 years ago. I'm still using it. I bought a new top for it. I saw EZ-Up was still selling Steel frames. They're a little heavier, but they don't end up as a twisted mass after the 1st big wind.

I have a 10 x 15 ABC Canopy I am happy with. It has a split halve way up that helps reduce lift when windy.

Mine are from Costco.  I bought a pair of 10x10's maybe a dozen years ago - they were about $170/ea.  Has held up well, though the carrying bags have seen better days.  But I did leave one at the track when a thunder/wind storm rolled through (I was at another part of the track). By the time I ran back to my pit, all of the aluminum supports had snapped from the wind.

But I'd rather get a 10x20 one like Jim's, but not a fan of the logos.

I have an old school "holiday canopies" type, but need to buy the poles for it (which I've never done).

I bought this brand maybe 6 years ago...has held up well...I have the 10x15 version which doesn't seem to be available any more. This is the 10x20. My guess is very similar to the Summit model Jim suggested. I looked at the Summit unit and if the website is accurate it wont ship until November?

I still have a Holiday canopy. It's a beast that has survived many storms. I think it's 10 x 20. Lots of shade, car and people fit under it, but definitely not easy up. Poles can be found at any big box hardware store, 1" conduit. Works great, the Mrs and I could set it up in about 15 minutes, but a hassle to load all the poles (18 total) on the trailer.

Shelter Logic, based in CT.

Their straight-leg canopies aren't cheap (relatively), but they're robust (compared to the splayed-leg ones) and you can get all the parts/repair pieces necessary to extend your investment in your canopy from them.

I've been through at a leg, one "peak upright pole", and a new fabric canopy on their 10x15 unit I bought 6 years ago so you know it hasn't been an easy life.

The canopy replacement was brought on by an early Nor'easter with rain instead of snow but plenty of wind while it was protecting a pit stall ahead of a 12-hour enduro.

I have two of these 10x15. Both lasted 7 years. Just this year I received minor damage to both. I was able to build one from the two. It was cheaper than buying parts for both and I purchased a new one and an additional new canopy for cheaper than the sum of the parts to fix both. They are heavy duty enough and have lasted well.

I once purchased an entire skid of the Walmart brand of 10x10. At the end of the first season, we had 6 of the original 36 still in service with some lasting less than a weekend.
