Anyone know how many entries they have for the race next weekend?  Just trying to decide whether to keep working to get my car ready (assuming there's a decent field) or not.  Couldn't find the info on their website and have emailed the admin with no answer so far.

UPDATE:  Just heard from the admin, 10 entries so far.

Entry list is on the event page on SVRA's site. https://svra.com/eve...nta-grand-prix/

Boris Said senior and junior are entered in the Miata Heritage group. Makes me want to sign up just to say I raced with the Saidheads.

No doubt! Boris running SM, is this his first time?

Looks like he's in a 1978 Miata - pre-1.6, I think!  :)  Boris is also driving a TA.  I've got a 1/2 dozen things that I need to fix and then I'm ready to race.  Looks like a couple of long nights this week - but Boris has inspired me.

How was the weekend?

Mr. Fowler won both races - as fast as ever.  You should be able to stream the races from the SVRA ap.

Race 1 - one fast guy went off at 5 and hit the wall, DNF'd.  Superficial damage.  I set a PB during the race, but still super slow.

Race 2 - uneventful for most folks, I believe.  Ended up with a vibration coming out of T3 - not sure if it was a bearing or wheel weights fell off.  Not knowing what it was, I parked it in 5 after 10 laps.  Finished DFL.

My 1st time with SVRA, but seems professional.  My biggest complaints were that the gaps between sessions was far too long and load-in on Wednesday night was a disaster.  I waited in line for over an hour to get inside the track to unload my car.  They have road atlanta on the schedule for march - if it happens, I'll join them.

All in all, a frustrating weekend because I can't get out of my own way, but I did set two PB's and just need seat time and to keep at it.  And changing to a more aggressive brake compound.

Boris didn't actually race, but his son did.  He was 1.5 sec ahead of me, but I couldn't get close enough to challenge him.

Thanks and congrats on the personal best!  I, too, have enjoyed the setting at the SVRA events but car counts are spotty.

Second race here starting at 2:45.50:

A veteran racer mentioned to me how he thought SCCA should do this type of broadcast for the Super Tour. I think it would be awesome!

I really enjoyed my first race with SVRA. It's too bad there weren't more cars but with the date change, an event the weekend before, the Rona....

SVRA has a Black Friday deal for $100 off race entry making it $275 for the event in March! I'm gonna go ahead and sign up.

Very nice meeting you!  Definitely a fun weekend.

For sure, a heck of a deal.  I just signed up for both Road Atlanta and the VIR races.  The SCCA Majors race will be the preceding weekend too.
