Well, apparently you can't edit the title...

I was always under the assumption they needed the same pressure as Hoosiers; around 38, but in one of the other threads I was told Hoosiers need to be at 34 +/-1.5.

Does the same hold true for Toyos.

Also - are the new Hoosier 7.5s out yet and will they hold similar characteristics to the Toyos (no 'sticker' hero lap, consistent performance after many heat cycles vs falling off like the Hoosiers 7).

I assume you are asking pressures..

it depends.. people are all over the place.. start at 35-36 hot on both and see what you like

One word of caution, make sure you are using the same pressure gauge.  They are inconsistent from one unit to another, even the fancy expensive ones.  My old pressure gauge read 2 psi higher than my new one - both Longacres.  My new one seems to be more "accurate."  So, that's part of the reason for people being "all over the place."

It's been a while since I ran a 205 Toyo's, but I think we I liked the pressures on the low side compared to Hoosiers. We currently run 225 RR's on 9 inch rims, 28 or so hot.

Thanks All,  yes, I meant pressure. I always either use the same gauge or check them against each other.

I usually tried for @38 lbs hot, but I will go for lower pressures on my next outing.

I see the fast guys on the west coast running the same temps hot for the Hoosiers or Toyos...for the most part.

In your endless search to find every possible SM secret in a 6 month period Mr. Marshall...here is another one to stick in your black book :)

Hot pressures run at Daytona will not be the same as hot pressures run at Laguna Seca! I will let you surmise why!

I see you have found my goal (evil laughter), I am here to drain the Speed Secrets from everyone and become the dominating force in SM next year..

Actually, now that the kids are getting to be out of diapers I will be getting back into racing more frequently and trying to accelerate my learning curve.

Let's see, never having been to either. Daytona - fast, Roval, 13 ft above sea level.  Laguna Seca - elevation changes, not as fast, 6500 above sea level.  I'll have to mull this one over a bit.

The real secret is.... Shut up, and drive. Haldeman, Drago, pardus will all beat you at 40 psi one handed... While flipping you off with the other. Or in some cases knee driving and flipping you off with both fingers.

Hey Guys, Happy New Year and thanks for the help.

Yes, set time is what I need but it's at a premium for me time wise, that is why I am trying to optimize every outing by getting the little stuff right and out of the way.  I think I've been running my tires way over inflated at 38ish.  I'll drop down to low 30's (32?) and give it a shot.
