I have a 99 SM just putting together.  I don't have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator yet, need to get the car teched.  Is there a simple way/place to add a fuel sample port?

Thanks

The fuel sample port from MiataCage is the best that I've found

Rather easy to install too. I think there are pics on this forum somewhere... Here's one:

Alberto, is this a good one to get to use as a simple fuel pump out?  I don't have one in my car yet but I was thinking about installing it when I put the (another) new engine in the car.

Yes, the Sonoma incident was about as complete of a loss as I could've had.  It sounds like Louis is reusing the head from that engine, but the whole bottom end will be new.    Ouch.

big ouch!  Sorry to hear about it.  At least you and the car are in one piece!

Yes, very useful to pump fuel out.  Hard to determine how much fuel is in the tank otherwise...
