Any of you using your iPad or iPhone for tracking maint. on the cars? Intercomp has released a pretty nice scaling apps that hooks up wirelessly to the new wireless scales but even if you don't have that feature it works quite well and does the math nicely (a little nicer than the 777's simple computer). What I would like however is a nice digital "preflight" checklist for keeping up on things like oil changes and broken bits. I may end up doing something from scratch but it's always easier to adapt something already available.

I haven't found anything thing that meets my needs either, so if you find something or do something from scratch I'm interested.

Not sure if they make an app yet for the iPhone, but what you're both talking about sounds a lot like this Andriod app called aCar. You can set up maintenance reminders, keep a log of expenses, and more. Heck, if you really wanted, the app allows you to keep track of gas mileage.

I mainly use it for my daily driver, but it sounds a like a good place to get ideas from / check out, for your current needs.

Good luck.

You can sleep in your car, but you can't race your house.

How are you using aCar? I've had no luck with it. It seems like everything is preentered for you and there's no way to customize it. What am I missing?
