I have a 91 Miata. So my clutch pedal is super soft and will not engage and allow a change in gear when the car is running The pedal does come back off the floor. Maybe just need to bleed the clutch line?

That would be the low hanging fruit. look at the before and after movement of the clutch slave lever on the trans.
