Found a cut harness. when I pulled my dash. Wondering if anybody knows what the harness pulled across the door sill is for before I start poking through the FSM.

Rear lights. Look in trunk and you should find all the same color wires.
Stopped by the shop today to swap my radiator and had a chance to poke around. I don't see the other half to this cut harness. Double checked harness along the driver door sill and everything appears intact. Turned the lights and pressed the brake pedal. Magically, I have lights
So I’m a little confused. In the picture I see a loose harness in the foreground that I assume is the one you mean, but then in the background I still see the one that runs along the doorsill (through plastic channel) that I thought went to the rear. It’s been a few years since I gutted one but pretty sure the latter is kept intact and probably the one Bench mentioned. Are the others all cut completely off? If so had they previously run into the shell then into the door near the hinges for locks, windows, mirrors?
Yeah, it's the harness in the foreground that is cut (wrapped with black electrical tape). The wires looked newish and I thought maybe it was an aftermarket alarm harness or something, but it looks like it comes directly out of the an OEM harness. The harness along the driver doorsill is intact and the rear tail and brake lights function.
The one connector that has the foam around it that I can remember off the top of my head( without going back to the shop to look at one of the cars out back)was the connector between the IP harness and main harness, but behind the glove box. Possible someone gutted the car and had the wires back in places they weren't run originally?

What is the "IP" harness? Instrument panel? I'll check the glove box side tomorrow.
Well, there are very few connectors that big and only one near there, the instrument cluster set. See P17 in the link below. In your picture you can see a yellow wire with red stripe (2B YEL/RED), that’s always the color for the oil pressure sender on these cars. Many of the other wires in your picture can also be identified in the diagram but the one that keeps throwing me is green with a grey stripe. There are very few grey wires or stripes in these cars and I can’t find that combination in any model year. Perhaps your picture is deceptive. In any case I doubt you’ll have any trouble identifying each one with a closer look.

Steve, thanks for the wiring diagram. I'll poke around tomorrow.
