At Sebring last weekend weekend we had a bit of rain and it got me to thinking (and THAT doesn't always end well).

What's better in a mild or light rain: a  6 year old set of rain tires or a one weekend set of slicks.  Does it matter if it's Toyo or Hoosier brand?

I know that older Hoosiers can bubble and separate (happened to me) but would the rain keep them cool enough to prevent this?

I have an older set of rains that I did not bring as I figured they were worthless, but I did go out on my slicks and kept up with plenty of folks on rains, so I feel I did OK.

Lastly - not reconnecting your rear swaybar when it dries is a sure recipe for bad front end push and scrubbing a set of tires into rubber dust
