I might have stripped one of the threads that the water pump pulley thread into.  Is there an easy "fix" for this besides a new waterpump?

Was thinking of maybe finding a stud to insert in there and locktight it.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

My first thought if there's enough room would be to eliminate the threads and put a nut  or jamb (thin) nut on the back side.

Second would be to insert a heil coil if there is enough meat around the hole.

Any of the above could work. The helicoil is probably my preference, but if you can get a bolt in from the rear you could first chase the threads to clean them up then bring a bolt through from the back with loctite to effectively give you a more secure stud.
