My friends 1999 SPEC has a random crank- no start condition. The engine was out and reinstalled, the electric kill switch was moved to a different spot on the rollbar.  After that everything was fine.

Fast forward a few months later, he was at Sebring (VERY HOT) it died on the track. To fix he installed new main (ECM?) fuse (in the passenger wheel well engine compartment area, light green color).  A new relay under the steering wheel (Fuel Inj?), direct wired the fuel pump with a on/off switch, checked all the fuses, and installed a new camshaft sensor (old one was cracked).  Problem fixed right? Well it started, then wouldn't restart later, so problem not fixed.

Battery is strong, fuel pressure in the trunk is 58 lbs, he installed a new crank and cam sensor, a new coil pack, new FI and main ECM relay. There are no codes and we checked as many of the connectors as we could reach, plus all fuses.  With a $4.99 Harbor Freight plug tester we are pretty sure there is no spark.  There's is a new engine block ground as well.

I'm kinda stumped here, at this point I'm leaning toward a connector or ground that makes intermittent contact, or a bad injector wire harness.

Can anyone offer any ideas?

Got it running! It was the cam sensor, apparently the old one was bad and the new one never worked out of the box.

Gotta love when a troubleshooting post ends with someone coming back with their solution!
