:) I doubt I will be able to afford Austin next year!

You can always just come for practice day :)
Actually the ticket prices you have heard about are totally apocryphal. Nothing has been released for sale so the cost is not yet public. It's a big track and even for a budget minded guy like you (ie. Cheap), I'm sure there will be some affordable grass berm viewing.

That was by far one of the BEST race weekends ever in my opinion. After the final count, we had 121 cars  !!! 19 of those were in Spec Miata. This is 50% more than 2010. Let's aim for another 50% increase for 2012!!!!

The competition was top notch with clean hard racing. This event is truly turning into the place to go to meet up with some of the best racers in the country, hang out with them and do battle. Then the Saturday BBQ/Party, Champagne and Trophy Girls just put it over the top.

If you stayed home, sorry we missed you :(. That's ok, there is plenty of video and it will be talked about for the next 11 months when we do it again.

Thank you so much to John Phillips for providing a car and services for me. I had a blast running with SM and found myself in many hard battles in all three races. The full invert on Saturday afternoon was a hoot. Even as a points race, everyone was very polite and patient making their way back to the front. Loved it.

Thank you Trevor for doing the standing start all by yourself on Sunday to prove it's fine in a SM (long story  ).

Dave,

Sorry we couldn't make it, between the budget and family obligations I had to make some sacrafices in the schedule. Congratulations to Chris Haldeman for his 1,3,1 finishes. (Thats what he said).

Dave,
Buy one of John's chick cars and keep racing with us. More smiles per mile than many other classes, but you already know that.

Vaughn Duarte won Race 2 on Sat, non-points race, inverted start, crazy, big grins afterwards :D!!!
Believe Haldeman was leading Race 2 as well until he "missed the track" with 2 to go
