All,

I am looking to get a Rumble Strip Racing DTL-1 GPS unit for live lap timer. I have contacted Rumble Strip Racing about a discount and they will give us a discount if we do a group buy. Below is the specifics for the discount breakdown.
The group buy is for a total number of units sold so we can combine DTL-1 GPS with DTL-3 GPS units!!!

3-4 units 10% off
5-more units 20% off

DTL-1 GPS 10% off $295 so $265.50 + $5 shipping = $270.50ea
DTL-1 GPS 20% off $295 so $236.00 + $5 shipping = $241.00ea

DTL-3 GPS 10% off $395 so $355.50 + $5 shipping = $360.00ea
DTL-3 GPS 20% off $395 so $316.00 + $5 shipping = $321.00ea

shipped to you via USPS priority mail.

My intent is to place the order next week on the 16th Monday, but I might wait till the 20th Friday to place the order.
Please post interest here and then we can work out payment via PM or email.
Also, tell other racers that might be interested.
Any Questions?

You better hit all the new guys in our region first...many are not on here or run different groups. Maybe hit Juan up to send out to his list?? He might be willing to do that ;) :D

Interested. Why the DLT-1 over the DLT-3? Just curious.

DLT-1 is bigger and can be used on track and off track with video. The numbers are a lot bigger and easy to read!!

I love my GPS DLT-1.

One of the best tools for driver improvement out there. I don't know of anything else that even comes CLOSE for the money! Once you realize the power of having instance feedback on +/- lap time and learn how to use that to experiment with new lines, braking points, etc. you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. Also the best qualifying tool on the planet, bar none.

Once you all get them installed, start a new thread on how to leverage it as a driver improvement tool. It's SOOO much more than just a lap timer!

Neil,

I checked with Rumble Strip Racing and we can combine order DTL-1 GPS units with DTL-3 GPS units.
My reasoning for the larger display is exactly the reason already posted. Larger Font size and normal video cameras can read it.

It was recommended that purchase one just for tire management as you can instantly know if you are behind your fastest lap and to ease up for the rest of the lap.

I have been meaning to get a DLT-1 for the longest time but never pulled the trigger for some reason. Now with GPS and possible discount, that's even better. Count me in.

BTW, where is Magnus these days?

We were in the same SFR Driver's School several years ago, along with a host of other SM drivers. Unfortunately, I don't get out to the track as much as I would like these days.

Hey, thanks for organizing this GB.

Last Call as order goes in at midnight(Pacific Time) tonight!!!
PM or email me the model you want as we are at the 20% discount rate now.
You will be sending payments directly to Rumble Strip Racing, but I need to know who is ordering so Magnus knows who to give the discount.
