Any news? Heard it was wet/ damp, and Alan Olson got the win. Any more iSight into this?

Olson
Boxwell
Collins
Gorriaran
Cefelo

Gorriaran and Cefelo were both off.
Track wet at start, cloudburst over turns 6-8 at lap 4 then the sun came out.
Everyone on drys.

The only rain in 3 days, of course.

Last I heard Zetterstrom held the high ground for the win in the Sunday race.
1st and 3rd place finishers (Obadia and the younger Windsor) were called for passing under yellow.
I don't think it was final when I left and I ran the IT race in the last session.
I remember Wible was right behind them and Brunk, who didn't qualify and started DFL was in 5th I think.
Quite the performance with about 30 entries.
All reported contact required both drivers to plead their case in the tower. It was a busy tower. But it's a beginning and the right one, IMHO.

Alan drove the wheels off of his car. Very consistent, and drove flawlessly.

I need to thank first and foremost my Crew! I have the best guy on the block as a Crew Chief.

I had a great time racing with Meat, Marc, Ted Cahall and Steve Miller (you have gotten faster grasshopper) and Boxwell. The strategy was to not let the leaders out of my sight until the dry line was present. I still knew I had nothing for Gorriaran, but thought I could manage a 2nd based on the Q results.

We started out with a wet track and most (if not all) the leaders went with drys hoping for a dry line to appear shortly after the first few laps. We got our wish but then we had a brief downpour in the back 1/2 of the track. T-8 was tricky with no real "wet line" and I almost blew it, getting sideways in front of Meat early on. When I saw Gorriaran spin and go off there a few laps later, I knew it was time to move. It was a last lap/last turn pass that I had planned earlier on Boxwell that did the trick. Jon Boxwell raced me very clean (as did everyone else) and I look forward to racing with all of you again. I am told NJ is next?
