Congrats Keith! It just ups the ante more. After all, both you and Randy have seen podiums now and I have not. Bring your "A" game to Rose Cup. I sincerely hope you will need it.

Thanks guys. Truth be known, I won purely because I was able to make it to pre-grid both times before they sent us out. Still, I did feel really good about it because I worked my butt off all weekend for those little victories. 35 minute races with only one race between SM and STL and a 30 minute impound after races was a busy format. Aside from an occassional BSing session, I worked pretty much continuously for 3 days so for that, I felt like I earned it.

After the 1st SM race, I got back to my paddock, dumped in gas and when I asked how much time I had Leanne informed me we were scheduled to start 3 minutes ago. Mad dash to grid and fortunately the schedule was still off a few minutes due to incidents. I was dressed and buckled at about 1 to go and the 3 STL cars that were supposed to be ahead of me were MIA. I figured they were too late and gridded at the back. I had no idea Cochran was the only one who made it out...at least a lap down so I drove like mad to not get caught. Seeing the checkered without seeing another STL car felt good.

The 2nd one was just an endurance effort. I spun and flatspotted my tires 2 or 3 laps into the Mon. SM race and thinking I didn't have time to switch between races, raced with square tires for about an hour. I had a fun race with a little Austin that I could drive away from with round tires for about 20 minutes and then hit oil (THAT'S what that debris flag was for!) corded my tires and finished just trying to keep it on track.

I'll sure try to bring my A-game for Rose Cup Terrell. We keep leapfrogging each other in the lower time dept. and I've got some catching up to knock off yours. Who knows. If we work together during the quals instead of racing one another we could do some damage to our times. The race itself though is another matter. :)

Didn't realize you had such a dramatic racing weekend Keith. Hey, a 1st is a 1st no matter what the circumstance. Had to haul out Sunday night due to family commitment so missed Mondays action. Been hounding the NWR folks to get results up on mylaps. Hey, how'd you like that STL qualifying session Saturday with Sutherland behind the wheel of my car and qualifying only .2 behind Schultz....a full 2 seconds faster than I was turning just two sessions earlier. There is no substitute for talent, but hey I'll take my 1:43.3 from Sunday. Hope to see you at Rose Cup. Check out Ken's stint in my car of how to drive Pacific....

Bill-

ps: Keith -you show up at about the 9:30 mark....

Keith, as I learned in my last race. You can spend the race playing leapfrog with one guy having a lot of fun while the lead pack drives away or you can draft, keep up with the lead pack and wait for one of them to make a mistake. The time for leapfrog is at the end.
