I TiVo'd it, but it's only listed as 30 minutes -- it quit right in the middle of a sentence. I'm hoping that the program after it is really the second half, and I can get that later tonight. So far it's kind of a puff piece, but that's to be expected.

Thanks! I did end up TiVoing the second half, which was mislabeled in the guide.

Too bad the weather changed enough that the lap times really didn't mean anything. :( It would have been fun to have each of them do a few real laps on a dry track.

I caught their laps in the opposite cars and my personal opinion is that Tony was taking it pretty easy, Im sure at the strong suggestion of Hamilton's team. watching Stewart coming into turn 1 I cant help but get the feeling that he wasnt pushing that car much at all, and yes I do realize that Stewart is a former Indy champ so I know he has the skills. I believe a Sprint cup car hits the bank at about 200-300k......where as a F1 car would literally break a spint cup teams budget at something like 100 million or more.

That being said I do know this for a fact, it is basically impossible to drive a F1 car slowly, the brakes and tires will not have enough heat in them to work properly if you dont go fast enough. So props to both drivers but Stewart especially.

I saw the show last night. I thought it was great, I wasn't a fan of how the announcers were trying to make a big deal of the difference in lap times since the track was drying, other than that it was great. It was funny to me to see how "nieve" the speed announcers are that just follow nascar. I'd like to see Lewis Hamilton try a nascar road course race, that would be awesome. Tony, I don't think he's fair so well in F1. My final thought, they should bring F1 back to the Glen. That would be great!

I suspect Tony would do quite respectably in an F1 car, but it has little to do with his NASCAR background. Lewis on a NASCAR road course just wouldn't be fair to the rest. ;)
