You're close.. That makes the 1.6 or '99 the favorite probably the 1.6... Restrictor too small on NC cars....

Why restrictor and weight bump on SM5?
says the guy with the MX5 avitar
Isn't this a lot more fun than the other thread?

Honest question actually. Is there a goal to get it closer to SM speeds?
I don't see the point of restricting and adding weight to a car 'just because'. And I don't see the need to balance it out to what the SM cars are doing. It's a separate class that's why I am confused by the changes. I very well could be missing part of the story too.

this is SM in 2018..
So all the cars will have to race together.. The Mx5 will need weight and restrictor in order to not be an overdog

Got it. So how does the STR rule affect the NC?

Don't worry we will get back there sooner or later. But I like the change. It will take till at least 2018 to get a direction.

25.4mm restrictor and 3250 pounds (without driver). That will ensure that the roughly $20 million that existing competitors have invested in cars and spares is not made obsolete because of the next great idea.
Those that have a woody about running the NC cars need not wait (or weight). T4 awaits you and you can have your equalization debates with folks that have Mustangs, Honda's and others. In this age of political correctness and diversity, a mixed class of competitive cars is a better idea anyway. T4!
