Picks from the heart:
Anyone from Chicago area, Bender, Burdzy, Gagliardo, Greenhill, Luckritz, Marchand, Pogorzelski (Jeff and Juan are only about 60 miles from Chicago as the crow flies).
Sleeper picks:
Gagliardo, he really could win this, fast learner and fast driver.
Ferranti, The Rodney Dangerfield of Texas. He slugged it out in an NA for years.
Rollan, Others from Florida make more noise. Stealthy.
Nufer, hasn't been around much this year but another fast learner and fast driver.
Novak, Has a great car and has been secretly driving the track all year through work connections
$ Money picks, for the $250:
1. Michael Carter
2. Tyler Kicera
3. Dan Bender
Davison: P17 but first in fun.

I like the strategy. Cast a wide net and then cull the bycatch.

In my opinion, Selin is not a sleeper. I think he would be one of the guys included in the "favorites to win" category if his car is good.
I think you can add Pardus to your sleeper list.
Novak withdrew from the event and I believe he is doing chump car at sebring this weekend with Buras instead, which im super mad I cant also run in because I am flying to indy the same day!
My P17 pick is realistic, but, I am glad I take P1 in fun!

Gigg's (Tyler's nick name for Gagliardo) is IIRC in his 3rd year and really on a fast forward process with excellent support, some family history in road racing and can you say racing is in his DNA. Sort of like Lone Star JR's grand kid.
Now we move on to nice guy's Danica and Michael. Because Indy is said to be an easy track to learn, I'd expect you two to qualify in the top thirty which I expect all thirty will qualify within 1 second.
Did I cover my a$$ with the thirty qualify within one second.

I am also going to buck the trend of picking myself because I think I will jinx myself with the past luck I have had at the Runoffs.
1st Kicera
2nd Drago
3rd Haldeman (just to make sure he doesn't spin in ahead of me this year.)
I am going to go for Danica in 15th. I am going to try to challenge you for #1 in fun since that is usually my goal at all the races. Does that mean staying up the latest and consuming the most adult beverages? LOL.
This may be amended before Monday by the way. I might get cocky and pick myself over the the threat of a jinx.....possiblly late at night over the weekend.
