By this time next week, I should be driving in the first of 3 days of competition licensing school for SCCA.
I just got my doctors note filled out for my medical exam:
That's pretty cool!
While I was in the Dr.'s office, we talked a little about racing, and a little about the cars and the events. When the exam was done, he came back in and asked if he could give me a couple hundred bucks a year to sponsor me. How awesome is that! What he didn't know, is that I have access to a handful more cars and will be sure to stick some of the Doc's info on each of them. In return, he wants some autographed photos... Done, and Done. I invited them all out to an HPDE event where I can take them around for rides so they can see how much fun it is. He also asked about lessons. Any time doc, any time!
On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the best day ever and 1 is deep depression, I strive for a constant 5. This way even a slight up feels great and a slight down isn't the end of the world. I'd say today is a 10!
Now the hard part. I have been in touch with the Licensing Director for our region, he seemed fine to get my paperwork today (for next weeks school), unfortunately, I don't get my blood type results until Monday. That is a little late, considering I will be in the class taking a test by Thursday evening. Hope he is OK with that!
