Can someone please explain to me why people announce the length and weight of their baby when it's born? This continues to top the list of most useless pieces of information I receive in my news feed. I'd find it more relevant to announce your height and weight on each birthday as an adult as it might encourage you to skip that cupcake for dessert at Applebee's.
