Kinda pissed.

We were going to sign-up for the Friday evening "Twilight Test and Tune" before the IT-SPECtacular at Mid-O... Until I found out that Deb and I would each have to pay a full entry fee. There are 3, 20-minute sessions, so I would do one and Deb would do two. Essentially we would be paying double the cost for half the track time. No can do, mi amigo. It ain't because of liability issues either, signing a release is required. I think this policy is simply because they can.

The Mid-Ohio School sanctions this test night. I've been to tracks all over the Eastern U.S., and it seems I only encounter this type of gouging at Mid-Ohio (home of the $5 hotdog and the bicycle Nazis). Michelle may have left, but her legacy lives on.

I should point out that the National Auto Sports Association (NASA) allows Deb and I to enter as a team, including NASA sanctioned test days at Mid-Ohio for the same cost as one individual – so it can be done.

While you're at it don't forget the "no pets" rule. Every race weekend at M/O costs us a $100 dog / house sitter.
