So I'm replacing a Motor that I overheated and blew about 2 months ago. While disconnecting the intake I discovered that the throttle was stuck and that the throttle body was full of corrosion. Is it salvageable? What would cause this. Maybe coolant made its way through the intake manifold?

If it is a 1.6 Coolant does run thru the T body.

Also if the motor blew up as you say MAKE SURE you thourghly clean the intake!!!!! The motor internals will get into the intake upon detonation :o
