Has anyone attempted to fit one into your SM/ITA build? Any comments?

Glenn,

I have one in a 99 and love it. You might have to cut a small amount on the back of the head restraint depending on your cage.

Make sure you get the seat mounts that go along with it. Makes mounting a lot easier.

Glenn (or anyone), can you cite the specific rule that disallows sliders. My understanding is that they are still legal on seats using a backbrace.

Denny I believe you are correct! I recall the discussions earlier this year about seats tested with the sliders being approved but the general understanding is NO mfg's tested their seats on sliders. Will have to search old site when I have time.
