I am in the process of removing the ABS system from my '92 SSM. I have all the hard lines, proportioning valve and master cylinder from a '90. Do I also need the booster from the '90?
Thanks

No one?

not sure if this relates, But I just had to remove the abs in a '99. I changed everything. master, booster and the lines. I believe you could keep the booster but it was a different part number and I decieded to change it.

I am a SM newbie (although I have been road racing for 19 years). I too have a 2000 with ABS brakes. What is the proper procedure for removing the ABS system? Anyone do that on a NB recently?

bruce,
my ABS system is still in the car, but the builder appears to have disabled it somehow. i have an ABS light on my dash that is always on.

is it legal (scca SM rules) to remove the entire system in favor of a non ABS system from a different car?

The booster is different on ABS cars than non-ABS cars.

On a 99 the non abs master will not bolt to a abs booster.

Every time I have converted a early car I have changed the booster also, so I can not say what will fit
