October 15th is the 36th Annual Cascade 8 Hour Enduro at Portland. Entries are still being accepted for all classes. Scott Haynes is looking for drivers and/or crew. Here is the link if interested:

Wanted to put a team together myself but don't have the technology to race my car from New Mexico at 9,500 feet while holding a rifle and hoping a big, foolish elk shows up. Best of luck to all!

This sounds like a fun race. Would like to do it someday, but highly unlikely this year.

Is it SCCA?
Is it partly at night?
How much is the entry fee?

To answer a couple of questions - Entry fee is $875..... Sanctioning group is ICSCC - International Conference of Sports Car Clubs - Largest race organization in the Pacific Northwest. SCCA and NASA licenses accepted. race runs from 1pm to 9pm...so approximate 3 hrs in the dark. You do not need a car specifically set up for enduros ----there is a limited class. Running at Portland without chicane. Surely a norcal team can come up and do battle.
