Very cool. That last section looks like a lot of fun, but there are a couple of spots where the car will unload, and there will probably be some carnage.

Wow, I love the track. Very technical. I need to make sure we make it back up there for an event when it opens!
After looking at the video I am pretty sure that right now Andrew could beat everybody if we brought his off road truck!

Roger, clearly you have forgotten Fenn's off-coarse skills in a Miata!!

Follow the link below for pictures of the paving currently ongoing at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton. This is only 25 miles from my house and 15 minutes off I-5 in Olympia. How great is that!!

I don't see anything about who's going to hold races there. SCCA, conference?
I have an opinion so I must be right

Bruce....some of the principals in this venture are Conference racers, but I would suspect the site will be used by many organizations including SCCA, PNWR, Bremerton Sports Car Club, etc....some of you Oregon guys should venture up when they have their first official walk about which may be in December I have heard.

Conference will race there in 2012. Within Conference, it sounds like this track will be used for at least 1 of the IRDC's races.
I'm hoping that this track will offer more weekend track/practice days than is currently the case with PR, PIR, etc.

BTW, apparently some cars were run on the track today. There's a thread about it on the Conference website. Here's a video of a 2011 Z06 doing some laps today. The car hit about 150 mph on the front straight.

You stole my thunder Mike..just getting ready to post Randy's video. .I would suspect this track will book up pretty fast, especially once it has been certified. I see Conference, SCCA, PNWR, Alfa, Bremerton Sports Car Club all hoping to be able to book a date or 2 in 2012. Have to see how they operational aspect comes together as we move into 2012. Maybe full operations on a larger scale don't materialize until 2013. I have been trying to keep the SM community within SCCA up to speed.

Thanks Mike, that track looks like a lot of fun. After seeing it paved, I retract my earlier thought about danger spots. It's interesting how much of the track seems blind, though. I hope some final plowing will fix that.

Sweet SM track! Long straight for drafting/passing, big carousel, and some twisty downhills. Keep the blind corners, that's what makes Infineon to cool!

Another video just posted this morning from a Porsche 911. The "Corkscrew", ala Laguna Seca, will become the signature section. I like the comment "newest race track in the world"!

Hmmm, let's guess based on the history of ORP... SCCA will say they are going to race there but never will, so sign up for a conference race if you really want to turn some race laps!
